This drug works by improving the ability of the bladder muscles to squeeze, which in turn improves the patient's ability to urinate. It may also be used to treat heartburn, by helping the stomach muscles move food through the stomach faster.

How should I use Urivoid (Bethanechol Chloride)?

Urivoid (Bethanechol Chloride) tablets should be taken orally, 1 hour before or 2 hours after eating. These tablets are usually taken 3 to 4 times per day, or as directed by your physician.
