Cilicaine VK (Phenoxymethyl Pencillin) is a type of penicillin antibiotic. It is commonly given to patients to treat bacterial infections, such as scarlet fever, pneumonia and other bacterial infections affecting the ear, throat and skin. This antibiotic may also be given to prevent chorea and rheumatic fever.

How should I use Cilicaine VK (Phenoxymethyl Pencillin)?

Cilicaine VK (Phenoxymethyl Pencillin) comes in the form of a capsule, which should be taken orally with a glass of water. You should follow the instructions of your physician. You may be told to take it 4 times per day, with one capsule taken every 6 hours or 3 times per day, with one capsule being taken every 8 hours. Even if you feel well, you should still continue taking it until the full prescribed amount has been consumed. Otherwise your symptoms may return.
