What is Cyclopent (Cyclopentolate HCL BP) used for?

Cyclopent (Cyclopentolate HCL BP) is given to patients prior to undergoing eye examinations. These eye drops belong to a class of drugs known as anticholinergics. Your physician may direct you to administer the eye drops yourself, in which case you should tilt your head upwards, and lift out the lower eyelid. One drop may be administered to the lower eyelid. You should press gently on the corner of the eye, beside the nose, in order to prevent the medication from dripping out.
