What is Foracort (Budesonide/Formoterol) used for?

Foracort (Budesonide/Formoterol) is used in the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It contains the active ingredients budesonide and formoterol. Budesonide is a type of corticosteroid that works by decreasing inflammation in the lungs. How should I use Foracort (Budesonide/Formoterol)?

After shaking it, the inhaler may be inserted into the mouth, and the medication inhaled. Patients are sometimes directed to administer this medication twice per day, once in the morning and once in the evening, usually 12 hours apart.
