What is Neo-Mercazole (Carbimazole) used for?

Neo-Mercazole (Carbimazole) is used to treat an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism). It works by reducing the production of hormones by the thyroid gland, thereby helping the thyroid function to return to normal. This drug may also be used to decrease the amount of thyroid hormones prior to surgery or treatment with radioactive iodine.

How should I use Neo-Mercazole (Carbimazole)?
