What is Trapic (Tranexamic Acid) used for?

Trapic (Tranexamic Acid) is given to patients with bleeding disorders such as hemophilia, as a short term treatment. It may be used to reduce bleeding caused by dental procedures, after surgery or injury, during nosebleeds or to treat heavy menstrual bleeding. This drug is in a class of medications known as anti-fibrinolytics, which helps the blood to clot normally, thereby preventing prolonged bleeding.

How should I use Trapic (Tranexamic Acid)?

Trapic (Tranexamic Acid) tablets should be taken by mouth.
