What is Granicip-1 DT (Granisetron HCL) used for?

Granicip-1 DT (Granisetron HCL) is given to patients to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by cancer treatment such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy. It may also be used to prevent nausea and vomiting after surgical procedures or operations. It works by blocking the action of serotonin, a chemical in the body which can trigger nausea and vomiting.

How should I use Granicip-1 DT (Granisetron HCL)?

The dosage for Granicip-1 DT (Granisetron HCL) depends on the condition being treated. If you are taking this medication to prevent vomiting and nausea caused by chemotherapy, you may be told to take it 1 hour prior to beginning chemotherapy, and a second dose may sometimes be taken 12 hours after taking the first. For patients undergoing radiotherapy, it is usually taken 1 hour prior to the commencement of radiotherapy.

What are the side effects of Granicip-1 DT (Granisetron HCL)?
