What is Estraderm TTS (Estradiol) used for?

Estraderm TTS (Estradiol) is used to help reduce menopause symptoms, such as vaginal irritation or dryness, hot flashes and other menopause symptoms. These symptoms usually occur because the body produces less estrogen. The active ingredient in these patches is a form of estrogen, and can help to relieve menopause symptoms. It may sometimes be used to treat osteoporosis.

How should I use Estraderm TTS (Estradiol)?

Estraderm TTS (Estradiol) transdermal patches are applied directly to the skin. Apply them to a clean, dry area of skin. Patients are normally told to apply them to the top of the buttocks or else to the stomach. Your physician will tell you how long to wear the patch for. However, you may be told to apply 1 patch twice per week. When applying a new patch, do not apply it to the same as the first patch.

What are the side effects of Estraderm TTS (Estradiol)?

Estraderm TTS (Estradiol) may cause side effects, such as:

• Redness, itching or irritation at the application site
• Abdominal pain
• Bloating or nausea
• Breast tenderness
• Weight changes
